Juice Flush the affected area with cold water to remove any excess juice from the fabric. Use care to not spread the stain further. Soak the stain with a solution of liquid laundry detergent, white vinegar, and a quart of warm water for approximately 15 minutes. Rinse with cold water.
Spaghetti Sauce Run fabric, inside out, under cold water to flush out as much of the sauce as possible. Apply liquid laundry detergent to stained area and allow it to soak in cold water for 15-30 minutes. Rinse. Sponge stained area with white vinegar and rinse again. Lastly, treat stain with a prewash stain removal product and launder on hottest setting the fabric will allow.
Soda Presoak clothing in a solution of liquid laundry detergent and cool water for at least 30 minutes. Pretreat stain with a prewash stain remover and launder in the hottest water the fabric will allow to finish removing the stain.
Milk Rinse fabric, inside out, under cold water to flush out as much milk as possible. Pretreat with a stain removal detergent, and soak in cold water for approximately 30 minutes. Do not use hot water. For old stains, soak overnight.
Wine Immediately flush or sponge stain with cold water, and then soak in detergent and cool water. To remove red wine stains, treat with white vinegar and clean according to the label. In a pinch, you can remove red wine stains by pouring white wine or boiling water over them.
Vomit Begin by scraping any excess vomit from the fabric. Run fabric, inside out, under cold water to flush out as much vomit as possible. Pretreat with prewash stain remover, and launder in the hottest water the fabric will allow.
Urine Run fabric, inside out, under cold water to flush out as much of the urine as possible. Treat the stain with detergent and soak in cold water. Launder in the hottest water the fabric will allow to finish removing stain.
Sweat Pre-treat underarm area of garment with a liquid laundry detergent so the buildup can be washed away. If the stain is old, treat with white vinegar to help dissolve any old perspiration. Wash in hot water every few washes to help remove sweat buildup.
Poop Pre-treat stain with detergent or spot treatment and soak in warm water. You can sprinkle un-seasoned meat tenderizer onto stubborn stains for extra removal power.
